Fantastic flags...but not without their problems
First, the pros:
The handles and shafts on these flags are built to last. I've owned other flags that have foam handles that tend to rip and fall apart. The hard rubber handles will probably make these the last pair of flags I will ever buy.
I've had numerous referees I've worked with comment on the obvious quality of these flags.
The cons:
The screw at the top of the shaft to tends to come off from time to time during use. Make sure it's screwed in VERY TIGHT before you give them to an AR to use - otherwise you might be spending time after the game walking the sideline to find the top of the flag. I've had to do this at least three times since purchasing them.
A warning:
DO NOT WASH THE FLAGS IN THE WASHING MACHINE! Mine got dirty and I threw them in on a gentle cycle. There are a series of plastic strips along the inside edge of the flag to help it keep its shape. These are starting to come out of the cloth and I'm worried it will result in a hole that will only grow in size - forcing me to purchase a replacement cloth sooner than I wanted to.
Bottom line - these are the best flags available. The only reason I don't give them a 5-star rating is the issues I'm having with the cloth.
